Every life has a story. Local ownership, local involvement.
We are Chick-fil-A Downtown Raleigh! This is the story of our local franchisee Owner/Operator.
Darrena McCulloh, a North Carolina native, grew up in Charlotte and has been calling Raleigh home for over 12 years. Darrena has been a “go-getter” since an early age and has always worked hard to accomplish her goals and dreams. She attended Campbell University where she became the first person in her family to graduate college. She began a career with Chick-fil-A at age 15 and worked her way up with the company to become an Owner/Operator of her own franchised restaurant at the young age of 26. She has enjoyed being the Owner/Operator for the Downtown Raleigh location since July 2014. Darrena’s motto is to “work hard, play harder”. In her free time she enjoys traveling, hanging out with her puppy Peyton, attending church, photography, spending time with friends, and you can usually find her at the gym training for her next athletic competition. She volunteers her time to serve with the Salvation Army, Project CATCH (an organization for homeless children in Wake Co.), Dress for Success of the Triangle as a career coach, and supports many other local charities such as the Dereck Whittenburg Foundation for college students. Her positive outlook and energy is contagious and you can always find her looking for the next great challenge and adventure as she lives life to the fullest!
“I have a passion to develop and mentor others to see their untapped potential. Just as runners in a race strive toward the finish line, I want to inspire my team and others in the community to set goals to achieve their dreams. Runners who train together, coach and motivate each other to go further and achieve better results. I strive to encourage others to train outside of their comfort zones to grow and challenge themselves. You can learn best practices from others to help make one another stronger, or as we like to say “better together.” I am a firm believer that iron sharpens iron and leaders never stop growing. My goal is to influence the leaders in my restaurant and community through their own personal development to foster continued growth. My personal goal is to be a positive influence in my community that inspires others to dream big, pursue excellence, achieve their goals, and show others the love of Jesus. Thanks for your support of my Chick-fil-A restaurant in Downtown Raleigh! I am proud to call this community home!”
